About Us

We’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with Big Hollow School District! Beginning this school year, we will be offering before and after school care directly at the Elementary School.

Located on a peaceful one-acre wooded lot just off the frontage road to Route 12 in Ingleside, IL, has a unique story. Originally founded as a home daycare in 2009, our center has grown through the dedication and vision of owners Sara Bialachowski and Theresa Buschick. What began as a small in-home center has transformed into a licensed child care facility with a capacity of 42 children.

Since becoming a licensed Child Care Center in May 2014, Serendipity has remained committed to offering a warm, home-like environment while providing quality, personalized care to every child.

Childcare for Children Six Weeks to six Years of Age
Big Hollow Before and After School Program accepts children from kindergarten through age 12 under your services.

Our Services include:

Daycare – A nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where children grow, learn, and thrive through structured play, guided learning, and caring supervision.
Infant and Toddler Classroom – Designed for our youngest learners, this classroom focuses on sensory exploration, motor skill development, and early bonding in a warm, attentive setting.
Toddler/Two's Classroom – Encouraging independence and curiosity, our Two’s program introduces foundational learning through hands-on activities, social interaction, and routine building.
Preschool & Prekindergarten Classroom – Preparing children for kindergarten with a focus on early literacy, math, science, and social skills through creative play and structured learning.
Playground – A safe and fun outdoor space where children can explore, play, and develop physical skills while enjoying fresh air and social time.
Summer Camp – Seasonal programs filled with themed activities, outdoor adventures, and creative projects designed to keep children engaged and learning all summer long.
Academics – Age-appropriate curriculum that supports cognitive, emotional, and social development, laying the foundation for lifelong learning.
Before and After School Programs – Flexible care options that provide homework help, enrichment activities, and a safe space for children before and after the school day.

What age groups do you accept for enrollment?

We provide care for children ages six weeks to six years old. Our classrooms are designed to support each stage of development, including infant and toddler care, preschool and pre-K programs, and before/after school care for school-aged children

What does a typical day look like for my child?

Each day includes a mix of structured learning, playtime, and rest. Our curriculum is age-appropriate and includes academic learning, creative play, outdoor time on our playground, and enrichment activities. We also offer breakfast, lunch, and snacks depending on your child’s

Do you offer part-time or flexible scheduling?

Yes! We understand that every family’s needs are different, so we offer full-time and part-time care options. Part-time care is available in full-day increments.

What safety measures are in place for children on-site?

Your child’s safety is our top priority. Our facility features secure entrances, age-appropriate equipment, trained and certified staff, and a safe, fenced-in playground. We also follow all state health and safety regulations.

What programs are available during the summer months?

We offer a fun and educational Summer Camp Program that includes outdoor adventures, themed weeks, crafts, STEM activities, and more. It’s available for children of all ages, including school-aged kids who are on summer break.
